An Italian Violin, circa 1890, possibly by a member of the Pelizon family.
Generally speaking, the goal of most violinists is to be able to perform on an Italian instrument, given Italy's importance in the history of making and the development of the violin as we know it today. With that in mind, we try to keep some Italian violins available for players. Here we have a good instrument from approximately 1890, possibly by a member of the Pelizon family, makers operating in the area of Gorizia, north of Trieste and north east of Venice.
Sold with the Certificate of Florian Leonhard, London, as well as a recent insurance appraisal.
