A Very Fine Contemporary Violin by Sing Him Wong, Antwerp, 2020

Currently the Head of Making at London-based dealership MyLuthier, this exceptional example of modern making comes from the hand of Belgian violinist-turned-luthier Sing Him Wong, and was completed in Antwerp, Belgium in 2020.

It is in pristine condition, having only had one careful owner (a professional player based between Ireland and the Middle East) since it was completed, and it offers an extremely complex tone full of colour, and its responsiveness is pretty remarkable. This is the sort of violin which will become harder and harder to acquire as demand, and thus asking price, increases in the coming few years, so it is worth some significant consideration from serious players now.
